taking the rust off...

lately it seems that when I sit down at the vise
I tie nothing but soft hackles
something about them I love...

today I decided to tie one of my favorite dries
a secret weapon of sorts
I only have one left in the boxes so it is time to replenish
before I forget the pattern or how to tie it
supper wulff

sleek? sexy??

you tell me...

I don't know just what it is
but I absolutely love the lines of this rod
almost stylish

modified reverse half wells grip w/ teak reelseat insert and blued steve kiley hardware
on a 6'8" 2wt  degere taper

this is why...

I just want them to have something that's nice enough that even if they never develop a love of fly fishing they will still have a cool heirloom and hopefully an appreciation of something that's truly crafted instead of just assembled.
