Read your post this morning and was hungry for a green burro all morning. Excellent food at that joint. Should have had you pick me up one...Thanks for making my stomach growl and mouth salivate.
yeah I was drooling on my way there. I most certainly would have picked one up for you but I was headed for arcadia area.
I like the red enchilada style, as you'll read in the ensuing review. my mom had the green e/s. best damn burros in the valley. hell I'll go out on a limb and say anywhere,
added bonus, the grand chiddlers are herrera kids, the school I used to teach at.
Very nice. I have to agree with you. That green burro is out of this world. My mother-in-law and their whole family grew up in that neighborhood and R***s is literally a religion for them.
There is a pretty good spin off joint (i think he's the nephew) on olive and 47th Ave that works well as a filler. Not as good as the original but pretty darn close when you need a fix and can't make it downtown. Just talking about all this food makes me hungry.

On a side note, what did you use to teach?
elementary school. mostly grades 4-6. 17 years in a south phoenix barrio. I don't miss it a whit.
